About The Artwork

The artwork "Morning" by Alexander Levich encapsulates the essence of the Wild West, transporting its viewers to a realm of unbridled adventure and raw beauty. Levich's artistry shines through his classical approach, where every stroke of the brush contributes to a larger, more complex story. The artist skillfully uses his medium to craft images that convey a sense of immediacy and action, giving life to the scenes of the legendary frontier. At the heart of the piece, spirited horses convey a sense of impending action, their poised muscles and alert expressions suggesting they are on the cusp of breaking into a gallop. Levich's use of oil and lacquer on the wooden surface provides a luminous quality, highlighting the subtle interplay of light and shadow, and bringing a tactile dimension to the scene that invites close inspection. The animals and human figures populating the artwork are rendered with an authenticity that speaks to the artist's keen observational skills and his deep appreciation for the genre. Encased in a bespoke wooden frame with an intentionally aged finish, the painting resonates with the rich heritage of the era it represents. The frame not only protects and showcases the piece but also complements the painting's historical narrative, reinforcing the connection between art and history. This framed artwork arrives ready for display, ensuring a smooth transition from the artist’s studio to its new destination, where it will undoubtedly become a focal point of conversation and admiration. "Morning" by Alexander Levich is not merely an artistic representation; it is a piece that embodies the spirit of an iconic era. It holds a timeless appeal for collectors and enthusiasts who appreciate the intricate blend of realism and narrative within fine art.

What is the most important thing in life? It's not the external surroundings but our inner world. Painting serves as the key that unlocks this realm. By following this path, one learns not just to look, but to truly SEE. Through my art, I delve into profound content. Painting becomes a medium of communication, a canvas for thoughts. The questions are always deeper than the answers, and the answers are discoveries we make within ourselves. My paintings serve as guides, leading you along the pathways of your own thoughts. I aim to offer you the joy of connecting with your inner world, the luxury of harmony and solitude in communication with yourself. I was born in 1963 in Kyiv, Ukraine, and in 1987, I graduated from the painting faculty of the Kyiv Art Academy, under the guidance of Professor A.M. Lopukhov. Since 1990, I have been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. As a professional artist with over 30 years of experience, my artistic journey can be divided into two main periods. The first period, which spanned over 20 years after my graduation, can be described as "Metarealism." The second period, which I refer to as my "return to realism," began around 2010, you may explore my artworks from both periods showcased here. If you would like to delve deeper into my portfolio, view additional paintings beyond those displayed on this website, or if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me directly via email at a.levich@protonmail.com. You are also warmly welcome to visit my studio in Kyiv. Thank you sincerely for your interest.
