About The Artwork
The Lonely cat, inspired by a lonely cat around the hotel I was staying at, in Istanbul for two weeks. Although usually cats are loners, there was a feeling of loneliness and sadness about this cat, reminding me of how lonely we are in this world. There was something very special about this cat. This drawing was displayed in one of the two exhibitions called "Cats are not for sale", which I curated, in October 2018. The first exhibition was in Tehran, Iran. The second one was held in Shiraz.
