Nothing on this earth is standing still. It's either growing or it's dying. No matter if it's a tree or a human being." -- Lou Holtz 'New Horizons' was created as a smaller study piece to prepare for the creation of 'Coexistence'. It came out so well that I mounted it on a wood panel with the newsprint boarder. This Series combines the elements of a watercolor backgrounds that is more abstract and trees made from recycled newspaper contrast in slender solid lines. Trees which were once turned into newspaper can now become trees again, returning to a place of beauty and a sense of awe. Re-Re-Cycled! All works from 'The Tree Chronicle' Series are uniquely panel mounted watercolors with collage. Each piece is finished with two coats of archival satin varnish, creating a contemporary but natural look. The edges are finished with varnish as well, but often left natural displaying drips of paint from the process. The overall result is an aesthetically alluring painting with a hidden message about protecting our forests. All works are Ready-to-Hang. * Commissioned pieces using your color and size requests are available. Learn more about the Artist here: www.lindakleinart.com

Linda Klein, a nature-loving artist hailing from the Bay Area, California, embarks on a soulful journey that harmonizes realism and abstract expression. Unveiling her artistic flair in preschool, Linda's earliest creative adventures prompted her parents to enroll her in local art classes—a bid to save their home from toddler graffiti and nurture her burgeoning talent. Nestled in the wild beauty of West Marin since 2009, Linda draws inspiration from her surroundings. Her artistic evolution mirrors the diverse landscapes she calls home—ranging from detailed graphite drawings to vibrant, ecologically themed pieces infused with recycled collage elements. Linda's unique process involves mounting watercolor paper onto handcrafted wood panels which are often created by her equally talented woodworking husband. This technique imposes a modern eco-conscious approach that bypasses traditional framing. Linda's art is a personal reflection, resonating with the rhythms of nature. With an unwavering commitment to continuing her creative education and a dance between documentation and new realities, Linda Klein's journey is a deeply personal ode to the beauty of our planet.
