More than essential...vital. Dye and acrylic on stretched canvas. www.victorcharade.com My art is about exploring the structure of images in diverse and unexpected ways, at least of what I am conscious of. Whether I'm working in drawing, painting, or sculpture, I'm looking for new dynamics and situations to experiment with. Improvisational and intuitive gestures are a key part of my process. I often, but not always, create work that is devoid of subjective or representational imagery, instead focusing on minimal and maximal visual arrangements. Exploring and investigating in ongoing series of pieces, each with its own unique constraints and influences, including: science, structural biology, energy forms, geometry, chaos theory, graffiti, universal self-organization, figurative abstraction, music, and modernist mid-twentieth century art. Pushing the boundaries of space and form, I don't know what I am doing most of the time, I just know that I have to do it.
