The cheetah is an exceptional big cat. They are graceful, swift, elegant. "Cheetah" means "spotted one" in Indian. The black tears around their eyes are striking and likened to the stripes painted on the faces of American footballers, it is used to stop the glare so they can see for longer distances when looking for their prey. Their markings are striking, and I wanted show the intenseness of their gaze. During the Saharan desert days, cheetahs lie around, waiting for the coolness of the of the evening to arrive, always conserving their energy, so they can sprint when necessary. They are more and more endangered, so I felt compelled to paint this magnificent creature, hoping to raise awareness of their plight.

I have loved creating art since i was a child. About 8 years ago I started my first airbrushing course & I have been specialising in this genre ever since. I particularly love to paint animals - I love the depth that airbrushing gives my animals. My sister and I started an art studio 2 years ago and I taught her to airbrush too - we are hooked by the mesmerising sound of the air. Most of my pieces are over 1 metre in size and make quite a statment to the viewer. I have had many successes over the last 2 years including being named the Official Artist for AWAMO (Australian War Animals Memorial Organisation) where I have done several commissions as well as illustrating 2 childrens books (one published). I am so proud to have been both a winner and finalist in several national and international competitions during this time and have been twice published in magazine publications. I feel so blessed to be able to create with my airbrush on a daily basis and enjoy doing commissions for my clients too. I hope you love my work as much as I love creating it.
