About The Artwork

I incorporate the many stimuli of the contemporary world transforming them into visions that go beyond everyday life and then encapsulate them in a wider and timeless perspective. In this picture I have painted a large jet of water that starts at the base of the painting and arches on a semi-transparent surface reminiscent of the flooring of a house. Falling in the form of splashes and droplets the jet seems to paradoxically solidify transforming itself into something else; its seemingly destructive charge actually creates a new reality, brighter and more concrete than what it destroys. It is a bridge between the old and the new. I paint in oil with a glazing layer, with great attention to detail. The goal of my painting is to involve the spectators by stimulating them to freely interpret the mystery which is hidden behind each painting and offering them, at least in part, the emotions that originally inspired its creation. Break I incorporate the many stimuli of the contemporary world transforming them into visions that go beyond everyday life and then encapsulate them in a wider and timeless perspective. In this picture I have painted a still life in a surreal key. An enormous orange stands out in an arid and almost desert environment, which is able to offer both shelter and refreshment; an unexpected offering, that seems to have fallen from who knows what other level of reality in order to bring new life and hope to those who have lost them; an occasion to take a break, but also perhaps to start again. I paint in oil with a glazing layer, with great attention to detail. The goal of my painting is to involve the spectators by stimulating them to freely interpret the mystery which is hidden behind each painting and offering them, at least in part, the emotions that originally inspire its creation. Obelisk I incorporate the many stimuli of the contemporary world transforming them into visions that go beyond everyday life and then encapsulate them in a wider and timeless perspective. In this picture I have pictured a still life in a surreal key. In a desert environment a huge pear stands out amongst the dunes, positioned almost like an obelisk. It is more important than any human artefact for what it represents: nature and life. I paint in oil with a glazing layer, with great attention to detail. The goal of my painting is to involve the spectators by stimulating them to freely interpret the mystery which is hidden behind each painting and offering them, at least in part, the emotions that originally inspired its creation. Intuition I incorporate the many stimuli of the contemporary world transforming them into visions that go beyond everyday life and then encapsulate them in a wider and timeless perspective. In this painting I have painted a still life in a surreal key. Among the white desert dunes, which seem to be made of salt, we experience nuts whose wrinkled surfaces resemble those of the human brain; they represent our intuitions. I paint in oil with a glazing layer, with great attention to detail. The goal of my painting is to involve the spectators by stimulating them to freely interpret the mystery which is hidden behind each painting and offering them, at least in part, the emotions that originally inspired its creation. Cocktail I incorporate the many stimuli of the contemporary world transforming them into visions that go beyond everyday life and then encapsulate them in a wider and timeless perspective. In this picture I have painted a still life in a surreal key. The red, black and yellow sweet and juicy fruits are torn from the darkness of a Flemish basket or table and stand out in the light, further highlighted by the desert that surrounds them. This represents the essence of life. I paint in oil with a glazing layer, with great attention to detail. The goal of my painting is to involve the spectators by stimulating them to freely interpret the mystery which is hidden behind each painting and offering them, at least in part, the emotions that originally inspired its creation.

I was born in Feltre in the province of Belluno (Italy); and I am currently based in San Dona di Piave in the province of Venice, Italy. My academic background took place in the city of Venice and was enriched under the directions of Giovanni Soccol, a well established Venetian painter, set designer and architect who has had a numerous important national and international exhibitions during his long artistic career. From master Giovanni Soccol I have learned the painting techniques of the great Italian Old Masters and the attention that must be paid to every aspect of the creation of a work: my oil paintings are carefully given to read glazes, I create colors by mixing pigments with linseed oil, before painting the final work in oil or acrylic on canvas. I make several studies in charcoal and pastels on paper. With another Venetian master Ludovico De Luigi, I have in particular approached the bronze sculpture. My favorite painting techniques are oil, acrylic, charcoal, pastels and fresco painting. I learned the fresco technique from the master Vico Calabrò and I am currently enrolled among the masters of his International School of fresco based in the Santuario dei Santi Vittore e Corona in Feltre, in the province of Belluno, Italy. My subjects are mainly related to the dreamlike and surreal world, where the current is transformed into visual metaphors in which coexist with a broader vision and eternal life. I participated in numerous exhibitions both nationally and internationally.
