I incorporate the many stimuli of the contemporary world transforming them into visions that go beyond everyday life and then encapsulate them in a wider and timeless perspective. In this picture I have painted a large jet of water that starts at the base of the painting and arches on a semi-transparent surface reminiscent of the flooring of a house. Falling in the form of splashes and droplets the jet seems to paradoxically solidify transforming itself into something else; its seemingly destructive charge actually creates a new reality, brighter and more concrete than what it destroys. It is a bridge between the old and the new. I paint in oil with a glazing layer, with great attention to detail.
