About The Artwork
Work is inspired by my wife who would often sit around naked except for her high heel shoes. This led to seeing her in different moods during these phases, which lead to this series of work. I began to exclude superfluous bits of furniture and instead included blocks of colour. The psychological contrast between figure and colour blocks has greater expressive potential.
