About The Artwork

This image represents what we cannot see. Way ahead of us. So far that we have no chance to see. We keep our eyes fixed somewhere in the distance, in the future. Either with hope or with fear. Sometimes we feel like we've caught a glimpse of something. Something our future will look like, what it should look like. Sometimes we see the future in rosy colors, but sometimes it's completely black and we can't and don't want to go on. Why try, when nothing nice awaits us anymore, there is nothing to look forward to, nothing to be happy about. The truth is, we never know what the future holds. But we cling to it so much that we forget to live here and now. Days, months, years go by and we don't experience them at all, we just look ahead and chase something. And it doesn't occur to us what if this was the last day, the last week of our life. Do we really want to live it worrying about the future? Because the truth is, we never know what the next day will bring. And that's why we should stop, take a breath, look around and enjoy this very day, this moment, here and now.

I was born in 1983 in Prague. I have been painting for a short time, only since 2020. My first drawings were pencil on paper, then I switched to painting with acrylic and now I paint with oil, or a combined technique of oil and acrylic. In painting, I am mainly interested in romanticism and abstract painting, where I would also include my works. I'm learning by myself, although I wouldn't even call it learning. I just take paints, brushes and put all my emotions that I'm feeling on the canvas. That's why I mainly paint water, because for me water is emotions and water best shows what they are. So far I haven't had any exhibition in a stone gallery, mainly because I have the soul of an artist, so I'm lost in practical matters. Anyway, I'm glad to be able to offer my works at least in this form and we'll see what tomorrow brings.
