I bought two beautiful quinces at the market together with flowers that they wrapped in purple paper.... When I saw them laying in the sun on my garden table I was sold. It made such an appealing still life composition and had to make a painting of these quinces with purple paper. The quinces never made it to the kitchen, didn't really know what to do with them anyway :-). I am happy with this painting, I love the visual balance of this painting, the light against the dark, yellow quinces with complementary purple paper. A good balance. The original is sold but you can still buy an art-print.
