About The Artwork

I enjoy working with Acrylic paint and contrasting a black and white greyscale subject against a bold or a certain color to create a mood. Adam Ant was a big pop star when I was growing up in London. My parents were performers in the music industry. Once my mom brought flowers home from the theater that Adam Ant had sent to her when I was 12 years old. I wanted to recreate this image of him with his fist towards the camera in my own way.

I am an Artist and working Musician. I was born into Country Music Royalty, The Carter Family. I grew up performing and singing on and off with my grandparents, Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash and my mother, Carlene Carter. . I was raised in London, England until High school and was always drawing and painting at a very early age. I was heavily influenced by the historical surroundings in Britain and frequented the museums, castles and estates nearby. I have always leaned towards portraiture and the classics and studied fine art at Richmond College in London. I also focused on learning Graphic Design and have a degree in Visual Communications. My grandmother, June Carter Cash, was the first person to “commission” portraits from me of family members and they hung in her house until they both passed away in 2003. I have also been commissioned for a portrait for an album cover as a teenager and am working on merchandise and promotional materials for musicians at this time in addition to my personal work. I am currently painting portraits of musicians, fans and clients in acrylic black and white with solid color backgrounds for a modern art feel.
