About The Artwork

Bringing this previously sold original from 2020 back to offer as a fine art print in 2024. The color peach, Pantone's Color of The Year 2024. A subtle blend of pink and orange, carries connotations of warmth and approachability. It is associated with humility because, unlike more vivid or ostentatious colors, peach suggests a gentle presence that doesn't overwhelm but instead invites connection and exudes a quiet confidence. Its soft and unassuming nature can be compared to a humble disposition that values others and showcases an inner strength without the need for external validation. Embracing humility is akin to a river’s journey—flowing, adapting, and deepening. It reflects maturity and growth, as one learns to carve one's path with gentle strength, overcoming ego’s rocks, nourishing the soul’s terrain and eco systems. It’s the quiet yet profound evolution of character. -M

Mechelle (aka, Miki ⚓️) is a traditional and digital artist, writer, and crew mate pursuing her USCG Captain's license. She is also a hiking, camping, and recreational freediving enthusiast! Considers herself 'not a runner' but is training for her first marathon in late 2024. She loves the sea... sky, desert, forest, field, and mountains. Her two main sources of inspiration for the past decade have been the horizon (mostly coastal these days), and the illusions of stillness in nature. Her work has been described as Meditative Minimalism, Beautifully Zen, and Contemplative. As a thalassophile... and lover of all things intracoastal and pelagic, Mechelle typically heads out to the gulf to catch the sunrise and paddleboard, film, or walk the shoreline with her rescue dogs Rogue & Rosie before starting her day in studio or on the water as a part-time ship mate. Mechelle is also a Taurus, and muses that it may play a role in her particular love for the coastline, that magical place where the sea and land kiss and together create subtle and dramatic exchanges 24/7. If you are interested in commissioning a piece of art please contact the Saatchi curatorial team and they will excellently mediate our journey together! Each piece is expertly packaged and shipped to Saatchi's pristine specifications. Artist's Certificate of Authenticity included. ° Thank you for your interest and support of independent artists.
