About The Artwork

On the way to walk, I often look at weeds, pick them and go home. Among them, I take pictures and draw sketches of things that I like. The selected weeds in the midst of this are the free drawings from as the model. I felt that the weeds, which had a somewhat cheerful appearance, began to dance, and became a work on canvas. Rather than pure imagination, I like the method of having a model and flying abstractly from there. A temporary border is attached to protect the work. If you don't need it, we can send you only the canvas, but the canvas is fastened sideways, so you can see the canvas tucks when you remove the temporary hem.

I'm not thinking about becoming a minimalist, I'm thinking about how to tell a story in a limited elements. I often inspired by the things around us, nature and music. In creating of forms, the nature told me a lot of things. And in color, I am particular about black and white as colors, and another colors are appearing, too. I think each human life is not easy, so if viewers can be played in a different world, then I am happy. For me, creation is a place to live. Kyo-Yuzen is one of the traditional and artistic Japanese dyeing methods. I was born and raised in the Kyo-yuzen family in Kyoto, Japan. Also my relatives were nearby, and many of them worked for Kyo-yuzen. I thought that "human beings draw pictures" in my child hood. There are many traditional and modern museums near my home and visited there well. Also I love children's picture books, Western animations and dramas on TV, and Manga, too. So many cultural feelings penetrated me, and I would like to fuse them to create artworks naturally. My career is started as a textile designer for Paris and NY haute couture in the textile design company and next entered a German textile designer's studio as the same occupation. After that as a freelance, I set up own studio in Aoyama, Tokyo, created many illustrations and artworks. Creating artworks and held many solo and selected group exhibitions in inland and overseas since then.
