About The Artwork
Late afternoon view across East Harbor along Route 6 to Provincetown. The dunes glow with painted hues of pink and and purple at this time of day in late August. The three lone clouds in the sky were reflected on calm water. It was a moment I needed to share. Oils are my chosen medium because of their malleable nature, much like clay they can be pushed and pulled and manipulated while wet. There is great texture and vibrant color in this piece which I have tried to capture in the detail. This piece is painted on a gallery canvas (1.5" deep) and the edges are finished in white. It is signed, varnished to protect and enhance the colors and ready to hang with a dust paper backing and wire. It may also be hung with a 1.5” deep floating frame.
