I have seen women posing with a carefree attitude, determined, knowing that it is their job. Sometimes I see gestures of covering with their hands to protect their privacy once the photo session is over, which may be accompanied by a more timid or fleeting look. However, I think that sometimes we feel more vulnerable when exposing our minds, beliefs, thoughts, than our body. Actually this portrait has two fragments, the face in which we appreciate a woman with strong attitude, holding the look, and the fragment of the body which reflects how she is protected with her hands. Perhaps the two fragments do not fit or maybe they do.

About The Artwork

I have seen women posing with a carefree attitude, determined, knowing that it is their job. Sometimes I see gestures of covering with their hands to protect their privacy once the photo session is over, which may be accompanied by a more timid or fleeting look. However, I think that sometimes we feel more vulnerable when exposing our minds, beliefs, thoughts, than our body. Actually this portrait has two fragments, the face in which we appreciate a woman with strong attitude, holding the look, and the fragment of the body which reflects how she is protected with her hands. Perhaps the two fragments do not fit or maybe they do.

"In her work the faces seem to change their meaning through a special light and get a different interpretative perspective from the viewer. A great femininity, but also a great strength, is what these women transmit, which are the source of inspiration for the artist. The expression of the spirituality of these women is her main objective". Marcello Cazzaniga (Camaver Kunsthaus). I was born and raised in Madrid, Spain. I have a Degree in Biochemistry and a Master in Molecular Genetics, although my current career is as a painter. Aside from that I have an interest and training in photography, illustration, Art History, and graphic design. I'm passionate about portraits, my goal is to reflect the expressions of the people, their innermost feelings. I'm interested in anatomy as a tool to give the figure, or the face, consistency, volume and balance. Lighting attracts my full attention, as light brings volumes, shapes, sensations, feelings into life The female figure gives me serenity, strength, I am inspired by women with defiant attitude. While painting time slips through my fingers, I feel free, flowing, with a strength that sometimes amazes me.
