VIEW IN MY ROOM
The image takes us toward the extremes of either levitating existence out of reality or submerging it into the ground. Hamu Isen maintains an appropriate distance from the image. And through his drawings, he examines the question of the fixation of matter on matter, or "how the world in front of us exists.

Japan
In 2009, Hamu Isen invented a unique technique of mixing acrylic paint and clay, fixing it directly to the support by hand or with a spatula, and finally scraping off the surface. The unique feature of this technique is that the surface is scraped off after the paint is fixed. In other words, the color and shape of the painting is not known until it is scraped off. With this technique, he creates a state where the conscious and unconscious intersect. He is interested in the boundaries between paternity and maternity, order and chaos, consciousness and unconsciousness, artificial and natural. He also uses these comparisons to explore Japan's unique culture and identity. He often creates abstract forms using the silver ratio and golden ratio and is often inspired by motifs related to Japanese culture ( Shimenawa-Rope, Snake, Lightning, Nature, etc.).
