Moon - Venus & The Golden Gate Bridge Photograph - Limited Edition of 25

A Lucky Night - February 27, 2009 ( 21:10 hours ) I subscribe to The Photographer's Ephemeris - so was aware that this alignment would happen and was hoping to capture it. Arriving in position at The St. Francis Yacht Club - it seemed that a dense fog would be spoiling the show. I'd driven out to the spot - set up the tripod - and so decided to wait and see if there might be a break. And sure enough - there was! About 15 minutes before the moonset - the Moon and Venus found a hole in the overcast. There was enough time for me to capture a dozen or so long exposures of varying lengths. Then Venus disappeared followed by the Moon. Ansel Adams observed that a photographer's most useful tool - is patience.
