This Artwork is part of an on-going series of collages in various styles and subject matters begun in late 2017. This particular Collage is loosely inspired by a 1916 Cubist painting by JUAN GRIS, titled (in French) "Compotier et Bouteille". (=fruit bowl and bottle) To create my collage version I used various coloured Canson pastel papers, my own handmade acrylic painted papers, red and black markers, and my own photograph of fruits displayed on a green porcelain dish---all pasted onto a thin 0.26 inch cardboard backing. The particular imagery conveyed by this assembly of coloured papers and illustration, reminiscent of the early 20th century Cubist artworks of JUAN GRIS, is bound to attract the attention of any viewer. And once appropriately Matted and Framed (preferably under glass) for better preservation and presentation, by the Buyer, it will be suitable to hang anywhere, either by itself or among other artworks.
