Dmytro Kotsiubailo was a Ukrainian soldier who was killed in action on March 7, 2022, during a Russian attack on the town of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine. Kotsiubailo was a member of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' 128th Mountain Infantry Brigade and was known by his nickname "Da Vinci" due to his talent for art. Kotsiubailo was only 23 years old when he was killed in action. He had joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces in 2017, following his graduation from high school. Kotsiubailo was a talented artist who enjoyed painting and drawing, and he often used his skills to create sketches and paintings for his fellow soldiers. Despite the challenges of serving in a conflict zone, Kotsiubailo remained committed to his duty and his fellow soldiers. He was a brave and dedicated soldier who was admired and respected by his comrades. Kotsiubailo's death was a tragic loss for his family, his friends, and his fellow soldiers. The nickname "Da Vinci" was a testament to Kotsiubailo's artistic talent, but it also reflected his creativity and innovation in the military field. Kotsiubailo was known for his ability to come up with new and creative solutions to complex problems, and he was always willing to share his ideas with his comrades. Kotsiubailo's sacrifice is a reminder of the bravery and dedication of the Ukrainian military, who continue to defend their country against Russian aggression. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, and his artistic legacy will endure.
