Sylvia Okjoo Kang

My practice explores memory, recording, and repetition through photography and mixed media.
By combining photographic images with hand-drawn marks, typography, and structured visual systems, I examine how memories are recorded, altered, and reinterpreted over time.

Rather than treating photography as objective documentation, I create works that exist between record and recollection, where presence and absence coexist and images remain open to multiple interpretations.
