ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Frogs, by nature, cannot fly. However, some experience a 'fortunate' yet singular instance of flight, which sadly marks both their first and final attempt - a lamentable occurrence. In the frog's mouth is a spoon that dates back to the 19th century and belonged to my grandmother.

I refrain from cutting down trees; instead, I plant trees. Have you ever pondered why wood radiates heat when it burns? Have you observed the various hues of flames? I can discern the warmth and color of wood without setting it ablaze. I relish the aroma of wood; I communicate with it. Frequently, I find myself with a sketch in hand, eager to mold it into reality. The wood appears to whisper, "Wait, scrutinize my features. You desire me to take the form of a fish, but I possess the suppleness of a girl searching for her soulmate, a boy who will bring me joy." Occasionally, a small dog on the street may inspire me. "Hey, master, carve me. I know you're a devoted animal lover." Indeed, I cherish every creature that God has crafted, confident that nothing is created without purpose. What I do is also a gift from above, and I express gratitude to the Almighty for bestowing upon me this approach and style of sculpture. I'm aware that many others like me engage in this form of artistic expression, and I find joy in that. This type of creation is akin to sanitation; we transform discarded materials into art for many people. Why demolish and burn an old closet, door, or window or let it decay in the rain when we can craft art from it? This not only establishes a business but also brings happiness to people. I refrain from felling trees, instead breathing new life into cut branches and repurposing old, discarded pieces of wood.
