Born in Fullerton, California, Chad spent the majority of his youth in Colorado Springs, Colorado surrounded by mountains and immersed in an arid climate burdened by snow, eternal shades of black, grey and brown. In his early 20s he decided to chuck the cold and moved to Florida where he now feels at home amongst the warm tropics. Whenever he is near the water his sole soars with a new sense of peace, calm and clarity. As a small child he was surrounded by construction and from the day he graduated high school he has immersed himself in the world of construction, architecture and design. Over the past 20 some odd years he has carved out a successful career in the architectural world. 5 to 10 of the past years have had him in search of a hobby that would fill him his heart with passion and excitement something that would push him to explore new horizons, a hobby that would allow him to share a zest for life beyond the office and one that he could share with his friends and family. Having always been interested in photography, but afraid to waste countless dollars and film as he conquered the quest of mastering the manual settings of a 35mm camera he always shied away from this frontier. Yet he remembered the pinhole camera he made as a child and the developing of the film with his friends on the yearbook staff. He always felt someday he would tackle this quest. When the digital age came about he finally decided it was time to face this fear, so he sat out with a new digital camera and began to devour every article, book, class and opportunity he saw to push his abilities to the next level. He is still very new to this journey and constantly striving to learn more. He now finds joy in both the tropical lush colors and the monochromatic and his joy for creating interesting imagery has once again brought color into his past haunts, including Colorado. It has allowed him to look at life in a different way each and every day and slow down and take in more that feels right at times. It is this battle of time that allows the creation of timeless images and it is in this same envelope of time that life can truly be discovered.
