David Mauquoy is the designer and director of Human Box Concept since 2011. A multidisciplinary artist, Art is for him the tool of choice to express and highlight the relationship of man to society facing the universe and facing himself. All this seriously, with humor, and sometimes with irony and sarcasm but always with the sincerity that prevails to the artist. HBC (Human Box Concept) is linked to his drawing and pictorial works "Spiralaires" which translate the perpetual movement of the evolution and energies of the universe (ref: quantum physics). Indeed, moving from the spiral to the idea of the fetus, then to the naked human in a jar was only a logical and obvious path. From the first broadcast on the social network Facebook, the public joined and volunteered to participate in the process. The public understands that work is human, it is he who, with his deep nature, creates his life if he really wants it, if he chooses to take control without yielding to a destiny. David Mauquoy was born in Nivelles, Belgium on April 24, 1965 to a large family of which he is the middle. Too small to play with big brothers, too big to play with the two little sisters, he finds himself very quickly in front of him and the world. His sense of observation and high sensitivity with high potential have led him to reproduce what he sees and feels through his drawings from an early age. The ego and its need for recognition are flattered by the amazement of adults in their drawings and this motivates them to continue. He will persevere in the artistic path until he studies art at the secondary level, then the superior school of Saint-Luc Brussels in Art, specialized in the Art of illustration of the children's book from which he will graduate with honors. 1989 Father of three daughters, legally single, he lives in Nivelles, Belgium. He is not alone in his head, but it is he who commands. Independent illustrator since 1991, after compulsory military service at the time, he creates, experiments and produces. In parallel since 2001, he teaches visual arts at a Royal Athénée in Brussels. Sharing one's passion and skills at the service of human society makes sense for him.
