I'm a contemporary artist living in Fort Worth, Texas. I create mixed media pieces that reflect a wide variety of influences and styles from modern to rustic. My inspiration comes from everywhere! Many of my current works are inspired by nature, from rocky or watery landscapes to earthy patinas. Other paintings are bolder, with a nod to my Graphic Design background. The common thread is the exploration of lines and texture, and how they interact. Line can be so complex, whether calligraphic, gestural or lyrical; it offers so much energy and visual contrast. Texture is my great love. I enjoy exploring new techniques and materials while incorporating visual or tactile texture. My paintings are rarely pre-planned, but the result of many layers and an intuitive approach.
