My name is Olga Naletova, I'm an artist. Sometimes I wonder, what reasons made me devote my life to painting, why every day, seven days a week do I pick up brushes and squeeze multicolored volcanoes of paint onto my palette? To paint a picture is always a bit of a gamble. You make up a story, decide who the main characters will be, what faces and postures they will have – and you just paint and add details and emotions along the way. This way a brand new world grows up on a canvas, which hardly belongs to you and lives its own life now… That is exactly what makes up the main reward and motivitation – was that really me who made it, is this new living space actually my work? Every time it is a bit surprising and sometimes, in case the painting is successfully finished, very joyful. These are the exact feelings that drive me to take up brushes – what if this time everything goes well again and I pass this quest and a new story will be born a white canvas surface.
