Vincent-Michel Dupuid self-taught painter, been born on December 22nd, 1985 in Yvelines, lives and works in Lyon. His initial, very non-typical way, associates studies of chemistry and practice of the drum from the childhood. Nevertheless for a long time, the artistic expression was the red wire of its existence. Besides the music he cultivates the pictorial activities with an interest marked for the drawing and the painting. Chemistry and painting, two domains in polarities sometimes inverted but not contradictory, constitute its materia prima. Stemming from gnostic experiences, his creation also results from a long fermentation, so catalysed by the readings of Nietzsche and Huxley he is subject to violent awarenesses. It is through the the latter that he plans his freaked rationality and develops a shape of expression, singular, taken away well from that collectively admitted by the words. He dissolves the structures, coagulates the forms then cleanses colors to unite them in a empirical but rigorous way. Marked during his young years by the optical illusions of Vasarely and Escher, him widened his curiosity and tends to include the processes and the functioning of the world which surrounds him just like Jules Verne. His works are sometimes tints of symbolism but no kind and no limit puts off him. The existence is that nuance of color has the eyes and the big ceaselessly renewed cycle, the big wheel of the life, is him pretext to seize its brushes. Such the alchemist, Vincent-Michel DUPUID found his philosopher's stone allowing him to express an internal gestation, made by light, by intense chromaticism, by life and by movements. In 2012, having worked as chemist in engineering during almost 5 years, he is motivated by health problems and decides to dedicate his life to his art.
