I am a self-taught artist. Born in 1981 in Moscow, Russia, currently residing in Sweden. My main inspiration is nature. Unlike sometimes artificial and pretentious human world, nature is always sincere and genuine, it is the ultimate beauty and harmony, unreachable by any human or its creation. In my work I lean toward simplicity, ease and maximum freedom. Therefore, I do not use references: the scenery comes from my imagination. I am channeling creativity on the canvas or paper without a prior design. I work in an abstract manner, as for me it is not about details, it is about the atmosphere, the mood. I use mostly a palette knife and several rough brushes. Acrylics is my main medium, but sometimes I go for gouache (tempera). I use professional media and paper/canvas to achieve high quality of my works.
