This piece looks at how colour balances on the canvas. Using a simple palette of blue, yellow and pink, I explored how they could sit effectively together and with varying levels of intensity. For some time, I have been creating abstract pieces that explore how different colours, hues and intensities sit alongside each other on the canvas. I paint whilst listening to music, and like the Surrealist artists of the twentieth century, I try to let my mind wonder and be driven by my subconscious or what I'm feeling at that particular moment - so it's more of an automatic response. Whether it's calmness, happiness, sadness, pain, anger or whatever I'm feeling that day, it's brought out in the art. And that's what I want my audience to relate to and associate with when looking at or purchasing my works. Having studied History of Art at Cambridge University and Fine Art (Foundation) at Central St Martins in the United Kingdom, I have built up my artistic practice over time. I hope you enjoy my artworks and please feel free to message me directly if you have any questions :-).
