This is an original oil painting. My aim with these abstracted landscapes is to create paintings that allow viewers to escape into the natural world. Each piece is based on real places, and through expressive brushstrokes and softened edges, I strive to create scenes that feel both familiar and dre...

Francesca is an award-winning artist featured on Sky Arts and Sky History, showcased at The London Art Fair, and celebrated as the youngest full member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists (RBSA)." Full Biography: Francesca is a full-time artist based in Worcester whose work has been featured by Sky Arts, Sky History, and The London Art Fair. She studied at University College of the Arts in Norwich, earning a B.A. Honours in Fine Art, and later refined her craft at the London Atelier of Representational Art. Since establishing herself as a full-time artist in 2015, Francesca has exhibited widely across the UK, including in London, Broadway, and York. In 2018 she became the youngest full member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, following her associate membership in 2017. Among her numerous private and public commissions are portraits for prominent figures, including The Budworths, owners of The Lady Magazine; SENSE charity; Dr. John Inge, the Bishop of Worcester; and Frank Southam, the Sword Bearer of Worcester. Her talent was also recognized on Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year in 2021, where she had the privilege to paint Sir Trevor McDonald, who selected her portrait as his personal favourite. In January 2023, Francesca was invited by art critic Ruth Millington to exhibit at The London Art Fair/Sotheby’s in the curated exhibition Reframing the Muse, inspired by Millington’s book Muse (Penguin, 2022). In September 2023, she painted Amanda Holden for the television series Sex: A Bonkers History on Sky History. About Her Work: Francesca’s work captures the beauty in everyday scenes, aiming to evoke calm or hope amidst life’s continual shifts. Classically trained in the ‘sight-sized’ technique, she draws inspiration from the Old Masters like Turner and Caravaggio, often using tenebrism to show light emerging from darkness. Her still lifes, a foundation of her practice, are meticulously painted from life in her studio, each an original oil on linen. Building on her classical background, Francesca also creates larger abstract landscapes. These vibrant works, combining acrylic and oil, are intended to bring warmth and color to homes.
