Daniela Santa Cruz is a painter, graduated in Visual Arts at Universidad Catolica de Chile in 2007. During 2009 was pupil of the artist Marcela Trujillo, as well as, from 2010 to 2011, was assistant of the artist Bruna Truffa. Since the last year of college, she developed "The Touch of the Eye," a serial work consisting of 23 small format paintings, which explores the possibilities of this material(working with synthetic enamel, oil, latex, shellac, etc). Then she chose traditional oil on canvas to represent, in a very personal way, still lifes. In two series: "Land of Cockaigne" and "Schläraffenland". In 2010, she changes the subject, beginning a series of selfportraits, on which she has spent three years. In all her series, the artist explores an image on which the most important element is its volume and almost physical presence, achieved by a careful use of color and painting technique. Since 2008 she regularly attends singing lessons, learning lately the lyrical technique.
