Karine Langevin KJL is a French artist, born in 1972 in Dijon, who works in resin and mixed media on canvas in a Pop Art style. With a degree in Plastic Arts, and after exploring different pictorial currents and techniques, she has been devoting herself full-time to her passion, which has become her profession since 2005. Her aim is to concentrate emotions in the visual aesthetics of materials and colors through themes specific to each creation. Each painting tells a story and is made up of elements to be found, like a treasure hunt, which support the chosen theme. From her studio south of Paris, in Gif-sur-Yvette, she works with colored, translucent resin in relief. These “Glossy” reliefs can be seen in the videos linked to each painting in the “Works” section of this site. The search for emotion is important in her work, and is expressed through the portrait. Women are at the heart of his work. Each portrait has its own character, its own message to convey, and plays with the surrounding light. Since 2019, she has been represented by JLF Gallery. Her paintings are exported to the United States and several European countries.
