Has there ever been any subject matter more inspiring than the human figure? There is an inherent need, even pleasure, in observing other people, perhaps if only to better see ourselves and how we fit in the world. The human body is one of the most complex assortment of curves and angles and the goal of an artist is to depict this anatomical construction in a pleasing manner. That has always been my goal through this series of "Variations on a Theme". Born in Paterson, New Jersey in 1954. Established a private painting conservation studio in 1980 and have worked for the Barnes Collection, the Philadelphia Museum of Art and many other collections over the years.
