First, she worked on architectural and design works. Since the nineties, her art works have been regarded as contemporary art. It consists of hanging paintings in techniques such as oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, but also combined techniques. Year by year, she was presented more and more... in numerous collective and individual exhibitions in Slovakia and abroad; in Austria, Italy, Russia, Poland, Germany, but also in China. She has participated in major international events. She took part in the International Biennial Europastello (2002) and in III. International Biennial of Art in Beijing (2008), where she presented her cycle of works called "Colors of continents". Last year she had a solo exhibition named "My Blue World" in Turcianske Teplice in Slovakia. Katarina Polgary is a member of the Slovak Art Association.
