These are snapshots which show the dynamics of life in the fast growing cities and which convey an impression of the lifestyle of a certain "time". People in different roles who move in certain situations, day rooms and social constellations - a casual look at the street, the feeling of a hustle and bustle in the mass. Superficially, I try to understand the day room by reflecting the population as a whole. The spontaneous look at the reality is represented and immediately the contemporary life finds entrance in the representations. The work picks out the contemporary life in the city as a central theme. It is all about the perception of the presence; the memory of life shall be stored, marked by keeping the time. A certain snapshot is reconstructed. The impression of the moment, the flood of stimuli and the fight for attention is the content. In cities an increased attention is required to find the way in the mass of impressions. My works show the usual without new attributes. My works show the usual, the banal which is represented by snapshots. However, what wants to require attention does not have to be shocking. This can also be the usual, the well-known and always the recurrent. The superficial is picked out as a central theme. I try to counteract that through overstimulation the look at the ordinary has been lost. The one or other moment can be catched which removes the single person from its environment. It is up to the observer to reflect on the affections of the shown individuals out of the well-known but also strange mass.
