Part of a series touching on minimalism and texture. Left, right, upside down. Rotating it changes the conversation. Stories created in the mind, being informed through shapes. Lost. I went to the San Francisco Art Institute. I'm a fine artist and professional photographer in NYC and LA. In my artwork, I try to execute a compelling visual element that contains qualities of mystery, beauty, and narrative within abstraction or simply by altering a person's expected perception. I like to work in analog mediums such as oil, watercolor, ink, graphite, and charcoal. Most of my works are done on rag paper, board, porcelain, canvas, and other substrates. Some of my work is temporary, and I try to photographically capture the process of a transformation with liquids that are introduced to a chemical process so the only record of this is the photograph I have taken - inevitably it becomes a type of performance art, document.
