I am Oliver Maass, a self-taught abstract acrylic Artist from Hannover, Germany. The two main things sourrounding me in my life are rhythm and color, which is also reflected in my artworks. Mostly bright, colorful and with a sense of rhythm. The process of painting, for me, is the opportunity of living my inner child, while experimenting with paint, the surface and my tools. Don't thinking, just reacting spontaneously to what is happening in front of me on the canvas. I always have some funky/jazzy music playing to get me into the right mood. Most of the time, I work with a paletteknife and apply the acrylic paint in several layers, to create a sense of depth on the canvas. I always work wet in wet, so that the colors mix or overlap in parts. The hard thing is to listen, when the artwork says it's done. Let me help you to make your world a bit more colorful.
