ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The design was based on an oriental carpet, and the letters are there as symbols of knowledge, the clocks measure time, the ouroboros dragons the etenral cycle of life and death. It is drawn on Japanese Mulberry paper that I have bought from Kyoto. The ritual of drawing the artwork resembles the process of mandala making by buddhist monks. I hope the viewers are intrigued to explore all the different element in the work.
