Born in Mar Moussa, Lebanon, a tumultuous country painted with complexities and contradictions that formed his upbringing. Mazen spent 20 years in Lebanon, two of those years studying architecture at the Institute National Des Beaus Arts before leaving abruptly to the United States in 2000. Mazen restarted his studies in Architecture at Kent State University where he earned a Bachelor of Architecture with Distinction and was recipient of the Alpha Rho Chi Bronze Medal for Leadership and Service. He then studied architecture at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design with Harvard University's Walker-Beale Scholarship for Outstanding Promise & Unusual Fitness, and receiving a Master of Architecture with Honors in 2009. Mazen has been practicing architecture in Boston for the past 11 years and teaching Architecture, Design Composition and Drawing and Boston University since 2017.
