Artist La La is a pseudonym for Lawrence Williams. Born 1951 in Aberdeen, Scotland. Probably the most prolific blind artist in the world. Produces 16 - 20 works per day. Son of a professional jazz musician. Great, great grandfather was an nineteenth century pioneer photographer in Preston, Lancashire. Was given away at the age of one year and forced to live an isolated childhood in Brighton, Sussex. Learnt to draw and paint as a sighted child by viewing artworks at the Brighton Museum. Was abused at a young age which left mental scars. A recovered substance abuser and alcoholic.Gradually lost sight over the past 30 years. Now lives a reclusive lifestyle in the Far North of New Zealand and Exmoor, Devon, England.
