Robin grew up in Rochester, NY. She demonstrated interest/ability in visual arts from a young age. She left her hometown and her native country to further her arts education, receiving both a BA and MFA from highly respected European institutions. She worked as a textile artist and painter in NYC until recently when she relocated to Minneapolis, MN. The painting technique she has developed requires complete concentration and acceptance. She finds constant depth and growth inside her self-imposed boundaries, which make her feel all the more connected to the work. “In deed, all self discipline might be defined as teaching ourselves to do the unnatural. An other characteristic of human nature - perhaps the one that makes us most human - is our capacity to do the unnatural, to transcend and hence transform our own nature.” -M. Scott Peck, M.D.
