ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The origin of the phrase intrigued me, from a historical or mythological viewpoint it is quite educational and a name that has stuck for centuries. Paintings of the hero Achilles have been depicted of Paris shooting the hero Achilles in that exact particular point of the human anatomy. I wanted to express the sensation of pain that this known but 'unsung' hero of this story experienced. And, feel my way around the anatomy of the foot – right to the sensation of the toes, even though it may appear in a state of distortion. What pain does to the mind. The surprise of the moment of impact.
