ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This ink drawing is a part of a series I produced of various workspaces of artists and creatives found through The Selby website. I find it very interesting how after a person has left, they still leave traces of their personality behind at their desk and how these contribute to what is to me an almost magical mood of a space. In this series I also investigate what makes a space comfortable and inspiring for creative people - is it chaos or order? Past works on walls or plants on the desks? Each desk / workspace represents to me a tiny world. Each is different, just like the people - absent from it, yet somehow still reflected in it.
