Horse Chestnut Tree Branch Botanical Bas-relief Print

The botanical bas-relief is ideal for decorating office or any room of your home: kitchen, the entrance hall, living room, bedroom, or children's room. You can combine several bas-reliefs into one composition. I use natural herbs and flowers for the impression. The process of botanical bas relief I start with fresh flowers and herbs that I'm pressing into pottery clay that has been rolled flat and is used to create a single-use mold. Than I remove the plants, place a frame around the clay mold and pour plaster into the imprint left by the flowers and herbs to create the beautiful relief design you see. After that I peel the clay mold off the hardened plaster. Some plaster tiles retain the stained color of the clay it was cast from. Small irregularities in the surface, print or color are part of the craftsmanship. There is a hook on the back for hanging.
