Montañas Abstraidas Painting

Nature is my highest inspiration. Every time I observe it, no matter whether is rich or bare, I want to paint and express the emotions I feel when encountered. It is not a mere reproduction what I am seeking but an interpretation of what I see, hear and smell. Sometimes I find it easy; sometimes is difficult but the more sensitive I am, the better I understand my creative process. I like oils because it provides me with more options, from color to texture. They have a plasticity that no other media offers me. It allows me to charge the canvas or to keep it translucent and light to express my sentiments. My favorite artist is Van Gogh. I've learned to appreciate more abstract work, but I still find more motivation in representational art. Van Gogh, in my opinion, was able to separate the object from the concept, which is why he is so well considered and certainly he is one of the founders of modern art. In that regards, I sense my painting as more traditional, with solid roots that provides the spectator with a full vision of the landscape.
