I'm a colorblind artist born in Geneva in 1960, grew up in New York and currently working in London and Geneva. Fascinated by the dynamic interplay of city scapes, real or fictitious, impressed by the power of industrial sites (the new temples of the material world) and the expression of social isolation, my art originates from an interaction between my inner world and that outer reality, capturing the essence, the instant, rather than the form. I like to invite the spectator into the unseen, the overlooked, and the deeply personal aspects of our shared human experience. That’s why I never consider an art work to be finished… I like to leave a space for the viewer's imagination and questioning thus letting him add his own layer. The technique always depends on the emotion, the subject. From the use of strong contrasts to techniques like charcoal, inks, coffee, walnut stain, acrylic, watercolors on paper, black paper, Kraft paper, canvas… Beauty may be found in the everyday…
