Monstera Magic Print

Meghana is an emerging artist based in Edmonton, Alberta. She grew up in BC where she was influenced by her lush surroundings to appreciate nature, the colour green and the value of botanical beings. Her main subjects are painting florals, foliage as well as cats and has 10 years of art experience starting from her education at UofA Extension in Edmonton. However, art education is never complete so she continually seeks out classes and workshops to add techniques to her mixed media toolbox; specifically, acrylic, watercolour, printmaking and digital methods to create patterns. Her current interests include East Asian paintings, botanical illustrations and surface pattern design for home decor, murals and textiles. Future goals include collaborating with interior designers, and major brands to feature her designs on textiles and furniture as well as work with residential and commercial clients to beautify their home and office decor through custom art. She lives and creates with her husband, son, three cats and several plants who serve as muses for her expressive, whimsical and sometimes irreverent style and is a happily active member of the art community in Edmonton.
