ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The second painting from the Devoted Demons series, based on the poem 'Knock, Knock'. This one is the demon of perplexed paralysis. It's those moments in life when we get overwhelmed and can't move a muscle. There is only pain, tension and stiffness. There is no movement, there is no breathing. The air feels acidic and we can only see in bright flashes of light. People who struggle with anxiety every day will know this feeling all too well. All I can hope is that 'facing' my depiction of this demon can bring some sort of solace and at least a tiny little bit of movement forward.
