ARTISTIC APPROACH In his work, Walid LEMKECHER composes a personal universe which takes its source in the world of classical dance, the spectacle, the cinema and countries like Russia, India and his own oriental origins. The theme of classical ballet is dear to the artist, it is his passion. This art that he has practiced for over fifteen years and which is a source of inspiration for him. We find in his paintings; the costume and the voluptuous work of fabrics and patterns and embroidery, the glittering crystals of Swarovski stones, the lush scenery of classical ballets which he feeds continuously. Each canvas is a staging, a visual spectacle that the artist offers us to see. Walid LEMKECHER composes his canvas like a choreographer. Each element is carefully chosen with an eye for detail. This detail gives his paintings an effect of rarity and finesse like a goldsmith facing the creation of an ornament.
