The New Embassy of the United States Started from the story “Alice’s adventure in the wonderland” which can be understood as an exclusive, illusion and deception place. The project is redefining what embassies should do in the 21st century. Anna Wintour, editor in chief of Vogue magazine, was appointed to be the US ambassador in London 2012. Her role is to promote her nation’s interest. The embassy is a tool of trade, a magnet, a showcase for her country. The site is located in Nine Elms Battersea area. It is transforming from a waste dump into a rich man’s playground due to the US, Netherland and Chinese embassies’ relocation in 2017. Wintour as the ambassador is bringing new culture into Battersea. Her handbag as the US embassy will be unfolded and opens to the public as a fashion showcase only in September when London fashion week/ September issue begins.
