ABOUT THE ARTWORK
NYC Abstracts 64-Empire is inspired by the famous Art Deco Empire State building. In its glory it was the tallest building in the whole world in 1930 for 40+years. It is now being dwarfed and hidden by too many super tall skyscrapers which is a sad thing because this famous landmark is quickly being hidden away and NYC no longer sees this beautiful building which became an icon. It is my intention to bring back its eminent significance as an important icon that native New Yorkers love so well as with the millions of tourists who flock here to see it.
