Ferdinando Cicchetti was born in Rome on February 7, 1949 and is a self-taught contemporary painter. Its formation takes place in the years of the post-war economic boom (the famous 60s) in which everyone thought of a world increasingly rich in humanity and peace while remaining profoundly influenced by nature. At the age of 16 he began his passion for art where in high school he met a professional who, noticing his aptitude, stimulated him to paint on canvas and to compete with various pictorial and artistic techniques such as oil on canvas, watercolor, charcoal drawing, ceramic painting, sculpture and landscape photography. Among the various subjects experimented, the landscape will constitute the majority of his artistic and photographic production as it has always been considered the most complete and fascinating. About 22 years ago he moved from Rome to Scurcola Marsicana, moved by his love for nature and his passion for the beautiful medieval villages.
